Post New Message I'm not sure why you are trying to remove the cooling shroud. Usually the oil filter can be removed easily from the front, and if there is no way to get to the drain plug, I have seen where a hole has been cut into the lower pan to gain access to the drain. Yhe alternate is to siphon the oil out with an oil syphon.
