|My furnace sat for about a year. When I tried to use it last year... the smell of propane filled the rv. In March (2013) I had a"dillweed" so-called rv repair guy come check it out. he said he pressurized the system and everything was good. I asked him about the heater and he said, "Don't use your furnace. Those heaters are known to cause fires and I would throw it away." Last week I discovered a leak right at the rv propane tank. This tells me he didn't "trully" check it out. After I fixed that... I turned on my heater. Works Great! Here is my question: Is he full of Shit about this model in paticular being a fire hazard? I need to know because I'm divorcing and live in it with my 2 children. Thank you for any help. Katie|
|Re: Duo-Therm Model#90030-812C||david||9-26-13|
My duo-therm is a 1985 model.
I have had only one problem with it over all these years.
And it was a simple one to fix.
There are safety switches installed on the unit to prevent any bad situations.
I would not hesitate to use it.
