|I have a 1976 winnibago sportsman den with a separate freezer above the fridge. The electrical switch is broken on the bottom control panel so I run the fridge on LPG, it used to cool fine. the element on the back is getting hot indicating that something is happening. how can I improve the cooling capacity and is there any truth to removing the fridge and turning it upside down to improve performance???|
looking forward to your response..

|First lets talk specification:|
Take two one quart water containers.
Run for 8 hours with one container in the freezer and one in the fridge.
Water in fridge 38 to 42 F
Water in freezer frozen.
If it makes these numbers its fine.
If it doesn't make spec, upsidedown and vibrate coils with rubber hammer may help.
Blowing out the chiminy may help.
Also check: Burner, blue flame not yellow, grill on burner in good condition, there is a little twisted sheet metal "Pig Tail" hanging on a piece of wire, Intact and good condition?
You can put a 12 volt fan behind the fridge blowing up to improve performance.
