|86 mini winnie fuel problems||jim casidy||3-16-13|
|Rv runs for 3-5 min then shuts down. no fuel in carb. new carb 1yr ago with no issues. new fuel filter no help. if it sets for abit can get it to start again, but only 3-4 min. never gets hot enough for vapor lock. could pump in tank be bad?|

If it has an in tank pump it is more likely a relay or breaker if it fails in a set # of minutes.
I doubt it has an in tank pump, It sounds like the in tank fuel sock type filter is plugging off.
You need to empty the tank, drop the tank and remove the pick up / sender assembly.
I am going to bet you tank has a bunch of crud floating around in it and once you crank the engine up the crud plugs the filter off.
Be aware you may need to clean and seal the inside of the tank or find a replacement.
Very common problem on old steel tanks, they rust inside and cause this
