Dometic Rm2652 not cooling properly Brent 9-23-12
Gas and AC both work but refrigerator compartment will only cool, using gas or AC, to a range of 44 to 48 degrees with ambient temp at 92. Freezer cools to a range of 25-28 degrees. Moved the thermister up and down but no change. Replaced the board with a dinosure 711 and turned it up to 5 but no change in temperature range. Checked flue, orifice and burner all are clear. Also switched the regulator out to make sure that wasn't the problem. One thing I did notice is that on my horse trailer's frige.,Norcold, you acn hear the flame standing at least three feet away. On the 5th wheel you have to almost put your ear to the back panel to hear the flame. I took the shroud off and the flame is about 3/8 to 1/2 inch high. Only two things left, the thermocouple or thethermister. Any suggestions?

Hi Brent, the thermocouple tells the circuit board the flame is lit, if the flame is a clean blue and as you described it's ok. Could be the thermister. To check it, Disconnect the thermistor harness from the P2,
2-pin terminal on the lower circuit board. Place the thermistor in a glass of ice water, approximately 33°F to 35°F. Wait 2 to 3 minutes. You should get a reading of approximately 7,000 to 10,000 ohms. The P2 is in the upper left corner of the circuit board, two wires to it under the 6 prong connector. I would direct wire the 120V heating element to the receptacle the fridge is plugged in to. This eliminates all electronic controls and if the fridge still doesn't cool properly your cooling unit is going bad. Also make sure the roof vent is clear of any leaves etc. Good luck

Brent,

Like Keith said direct wire the 120V heat element to a receptacle and let it sit overnight. You should see temperatures below 32 degrees in the refrigerator compartment. If not, then the issue is the cooling unit. For more info go to rvrefrigeration.com

Refrig. works fine on LP but not on AC
Norcold N611R won't freeze properly or get really cold Duck Paterson 3-27-16
Our Norcold N611R fridge/freezer just started NOT freezing. The freezer is cold but not frozen. The fridge as well is cool but not cold. Tried both propane and electric and the light indicating both "worked" but the fridge itself did not change. Put setting switch on 5 but no difference. On propane the flame was working. Does anybody have any ideas?
