Norcold N621 Refrigerator Runs on LP for Hours and then Faults Dave 9-12-12
I have a Norcold N621 that does not run well on LP but runs fine on AC. It will ignite and run on LP for hours and then faults (F code unable to light). When I turn it off and on again it either lights back up and runs and then eventually quits again or lights and then turns back off because it cannot sense the flame. Also I don't think this is an issue of wind blowing out the flame since the RV is parked in our driveway and is sheltered from any wind (not that there has been any in So Cal).

I've replaced the flame sense electrode and the control board and that hasn't made a difference. What else can I troubleshoot to resolve this issue?

Thanks in advance for any insights others may have.
Dave

Hi Dave, check the burner for cleanliness, blow it out if rust dust etc is present or if you don't have a clean blue flame. Check that the electrode to burner gap is 1/8 - 3/16 inches, check the gas valve solenoid resistance for 79 - 85 ohms, check for voltage across the control board terminals gv and gv ground. If you have voltage you probably have a faulty gas valve. You also might want to have your LP pressure checked for 10.5 - 14" water column, your LP regulator may need adjusting or is faulty. Good luck
