Suburban furnace blows fuse Dean 7-24-12
Hi guys, I'm having grief with this furnace. When i hook up the thermostat to the blue wire on the furnace it blows the fuse. Is the wall thermostat bad or is there something else happening. The one blue wire is powered and the other blue wire isn't.

Hi Dean, Try holding the two blue wires together and see if the the furnace runs, or blows the fuse. If it runs OK it's the T stat. If it blows the fuse, you have a short somewhere in the wiring, furnace, or the motor is drawing to many amps or is shot. This is assuming it's the furnace fuse that is blowing and not the small fuse in some electronic T stats. Good luck
