I HAVE A UNIT THAT
KEEPS BLOWING THE 3 AMP FUSE IN THE CONTROL BOARD IN THE ROOF, AND THE UNIT WILL NOT RUN, IT HAS 120V. AND THE 12V TO THE UNIT. IS THE THERMSTAT BAD OR THE CONTROL BOARD, THEY BOTH LOOK OK NO HOT SPOTS.I CAN JUMP THE UNIT TO RUN ON THE CONTROL BOARD AT THE RELAY, AND THE JUMP THE FAN TO RUN.

Jack, I have a similar problem. I have two ceiling units. One is a HP unit. The 3 amp fuse does not blow but when the thermostat calls for the furnace it will not start. Then I depress an emergency switch, which is the same as jumpering the relay, and it runs. At first I thought a faulty thermostat but then I have two units and both work the same.
