Duo-Therm 65515-003 wont turn off Eric 11-7-09
I have a Duo-Therm model 65515-003 furnace that I am having a hard time with. It wont turn off, it just keeps heating. I even disconnected the thermostat and touched the 2 wires together but it sill doesnt turn off (go to pilot mode). When i touch the wires together I can here the click inside the "valve assembly" but nothing happens. Just keeps heating.

It starts great and has no issue with keeping the pilot on.

Thanks in advance
Eric

Update... I checked the thermostat that the guy gave me when I bought the furnace (he said he never used nor connected that thermostat). It sais its for 12v or 24v. Do i need to be using a millivolt therm.?

Thanks

Update#2

i bought a honeywell ct33a millivolt thermostat. Still same issue. the furnace will still not go down to pilot. Is their a time delay at all maybe? i just tried it quickly (ran out of time).

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
