Winter camping? Kelley 10-22-09
Is it possible to live in a class A motor home through a Michigan winter without having freezing problems? Thanks
Re: Winter camping? BUBBA THE BUS TECH 10-22-09
Don't know Michigan weather. I don't know your unit. Heat tape for exposed water lines. Skirting to prevent wind under the unit. Enclosed and insulated under belly. Heat pads on sewage and if needed fresh water tanks. We some times enclose by spray foaming underside over plumbing etc. You will still need to prevent the wind blowing underneath. Finally the plumbing will probably still freeze up. The first time you will need to figure out where and put heat tape on the frized areas. It has been done in Fort McMurray where they get 45 below for weeks at a time, I sure Michagan is more about shoveling the roof so it wont collapse due to 16 feet of wet snow. Good luck
