No spark to engine changed coil. can it be the balis resistor it sat for 2 years made clean the distribitor cap. any got a answer

The balist resistor is a very common failure 0n old Dodge. You should carry one with you. Turn the ignition on. There should be power to one side of the coil, if not check the balist resistor and again there should be power on both sides, one side quite dim when checking with a test light, if not replace balist resistor. Some resisters have four wires and two resisters, one for starting and one for key in run, test both ways. No power to either side there is a power supply problem. If power to both sides and no power at the coil probably a module problem or if old enough a point problem. Good Luck
