I have a problem, that makes no sense to me. the furnace lights, when it wants to, and works good. the unit cycles properly, but doesnt always light the burner. it has had a gradual decline over the past few days. when i turn on the furnace the fan kicks on, then i hear the valve open and it try to light. when it fails to light, i hear the valve close. when it lights, it heats very well. im not sure where to start, as it used to light the first try. now its hit and miss as to if it will light. it will light on the first shot from time to time, but has become rare occasion

Your furance needs to be service and needs to be reset
