Installed a new air condtioner and it doesn't seem to be cold enought at the regester! What temp. should be there on the out put.
Thanks

Hi Mel, Generally an RV AC is designed to cool the inside to about 20 degrees less than the outside temp. Some may do better some worse. As far as register temp, probably ought to give whoever built yours a call and tell them your concern and see what they say. Good luck

Mel = the air conditioner is designed to reduce the temperature of the air from intake to discharge 29 deg F at 50% humidity. if humidity is very high the reduction in temp may be only 16 to 18 degrees. With air cond on Hi-Cool after 15 minutes of running, Place a probe thermometer at the return air = note the temp after the needle stabilizes then place the same thermometer at the cold air discharge - note temp after needle stabilizes. The difference in the temp drop. Most poor performance on a new installation is poor fitting of the AC to the air duct. William
