My travel trailer fridge, a Dometic 2652 won't cool. It worked great last fall but has been shut off all winter and summer (since November, about 9 months). The Propane tanks are full and I have had the trailer hooked up to our home electricity since we have been home...the air conditioner, tv and all work fine. Any ideas?
First step. In the back on the right is a tall Galvanized tin tube. Check to see if it is hot around where the wires go into it. If it is notticably warm the cooling unit has failed. If it is not warm the lpg is not burning or the 110 v element is not working. Good Luck
Hey Bubba...false alarm! When I checked on it this morning it was working great! I was working in the trailer for a couple of hours last night after I turned it on...and no change in temp at all in the freezer (I have a fridge thermometer). I know you have to give a day or so for the fridge to cool....but I would have thought there would have been some change. Anyway...thanks for getting back to my question....I'll know what to look for in the future, for sure.
