Car has weaker acceleration nick F 8-13-09  
Hey, I have a 98 Ford Escort Zx2,

my car has been stalling lately, at one point every time i would stop, or everytime i gave it more than 2000 rpm it would stall

I put a new fuel filter on it, and taken the cat-con off, new oil, new spark plugs, clean air filter, it doesnt stall anymore, but it still has a weak acceleration, what could be obstructing that?

I was thinking it could be in need of new PCV valve, distributor or the regulator(fuel pressure sensor)?

Some help would be appreciated, thanks

OK I havent seen this vehical and with out to doing my own diag I am guessing: the most likely thing I can thik of is cap and rotor, followed by plug wires. I usually replace all at the same time anyway. Good Luck
