Norcold frig question mark 8-3-09
Just purchased an RV and learing a lot fast. The refrigator and freezer doesn't seem to be working on either, AC or LP. Swwithched to AC after a few minutes all the lights on the panel just begin flashing, swapped over to LP and the gas lights but it doesn't cool at all. I did notice that a fuse was blown and i did replace that but that didn't seem to help, any help would be appreciated, I can't afford to purchase a new on at this time. thanks again
Re: norcold frig question wendell duke 8-8-09
From the outside, remove the cover to get access to the rear of the refrig. put the refrig on lpg and let it light. on the right side of the refrig where the fire is look and see if you see and yellowish coloring. if so this means the amonia unit is leaking and most likely empty. if no yellow exists you might try smelling by the flame area and see if you can smell amonia. don't get real close because amonia is strong. these amonia units are available seperate from the refrig and can be replaced. cost is usually between $400 and $500. let me know if i can be of futher help.
