The recall does not involve the igniter - it puts extra sheet metal around the burner and adds a thermal fuse above the burner area.
The bottom terminal on the igniter is a ground and there is a small ground symbol adjacent - this wire usually black, next look for the + symbol and that is where the yellow wire feeds 12 volts from the circuit board - yellow wire continues to one of the termoinals on the gas valve solenoid. The single terminal on the elevated part is the high voltage output that connects to the electrode at the burner. Good luck |
