Norcold Mdl. 1200 LRIM does not get cold when run on LP gas. Joe 6-28-09
I have a Norcold Model 1200 LRIM Frig. It works really well on AC but the frig compartment does not get cold when I switch it to LP gas. I have checked the s/n on the Norcold website and it is not included in the recall.

Hi Joe, First check for a dirty burner, could have low LP pressure, a bad spark/sense electrode. Or a bad flame sense circuit which means PC board replacement. This is assuming you have LP to the fridge. Do you have a fault code on the eyebrow panel? Good luck.

Does the frig need to be on or off when you do the rest? And I'm assuming you 'don't' hold on to the paperclip??? My first time-NOT an electrician!

Hi, I just read the thread and also have the same problem where my 1200LRIM works on AC but only the freezer on LP. I just bought the coach and I can see that the previous owner cut a hole in the power board cover to gain easy access to pin 15 to do the reset procedure. I did the reset procedure and also cleaned the burner area well and still little sign of refrig operation on LP. I have noticed that the refer is VERY sensitive to being dead level to work on AC....is this a clue?
Any help is appreciated.
Curtis

I have the same fridge it shows the no co code as well. I talked to some great guys at rvfridge.com and they explained on how to "hot wire" the AC part elements in the fridge. It will run non-stop and will not shut off even with the no co code as long as you have AC power. Mine however still does not cool very well even with the generator running driving down the road. Within an hour or two it is already up to about 50F. It will also take 2-3 days to cool the fridge down to 30F so I am going to replace the cooling unit on the fridge.

Same as above hot wired works great on ac,not on gas

My 1998 norcold LRIM refer is not working at all. It was icing up on the fins inside the cabinet, so I shut it off and defrosted the unit. It now does not cool on either the ac or lp mode. The motorhome is not setting level, and I have heard that this may be a reason why it doesn't function well. What models were included in the recall, as I am a new owner.
