Electric steps Rick 6-26-09
The electric steps on my RV starting going in and out while driving. I disconnect the wire that is located on my door and the steps are still going in and out. Trying to repair this problem. Thanks Rick

Most rv's have a magnet on the screen door and the reed switch on the door frame---if the step control switch is (OFF) the step should NOT operate unless you have a short circuit.

The electric steps on our RV have started going up everytime the door is closed, no matter what position the switch is placed.

We would like to know how to trace the wiring to locate any short circuit, or can it be attributed to a fluctuating battery charge?
