I have a Dometic 2852 in a travel trailer that is not cooling. the lights on the panel work. the battery is good. the pilot lights and seems to run(get hot). no guggling noises. it switches from gas to ac fine but wont cool in either mode. i checked and both fuses are good. any suggestions?
After an 8 hr test run in less than 100 degree f outside temp the freezer should make ice. If the galvinized heat stove on the back rear of the fridge is hot durring this time the cooling unit is toast. We find it is better to change the $1700 (approximate) fridge rather than perform a $1400 repair. Good Luck
When u say galvanized heat stove do you mean the flue where the gas burns in the back or the fins inside the fridge? the fins inside the fridge are warm. and the flue behind the fridge gets hot(it is burning gas in gas mode) i read something about being level...it is parked on a slight hill right now. the unit was working when we took the trailer out about a month ago.
