98- Bounder I replace the cranking battery in my RV. It will crank a few time and than it want crank again. I had the battery and the alternator check (they check out good)I can press the auxilliary battery switch and the RV will crank up. I check the battery wire running to the starter it felt tight. Could it be the starter or one or both of the auxilliary batteries dead or something else. Rick

Clean the ground wire on the NEW battery, since you say the rv starts with the (AUX) switch pushed--cant be the starter---since you say it starts maybe New battery (MIGHT) be not big enough or Just a Bad one? rich in Va.
