HEY I WAS WONDERING IF I COULD TAKE A 87 S-10 WITH A 2.8L MOTOR AND SWAP IT OUT WITH A NEWER 91-94 BLAZER 4.3L MOTOR AND WHAT ALL I WOULD HAVE TO BUY OR FABRICATE? A QUICK RESPONSE WOULD BE HELPFUL!!! IF IT HELPS IT IS AN 87 CHEVY S-10 EXTENDED CAB 4X4.

My '87 S10 has the carb 2.8L and I am replacing with a 4.3L injected engine. How do I do that?

Can I swap my 2.8L in my 86 jeep comanche with a 88 s10 4.3L both are gm motors but will the tranny work with the 4.3L.? BY THE WAY THE S10 IS THROTTLE BODY.

NO you cant do a direct replacement,sorry bud.The 2.8l is a 60 degree trans and is swapable with the 3.1L,3.4L from the camaro.You can bolt in the supercharged 3.8L from the buick park ave aswell with a little work.The 4.3L has a 90 degree trans that it shares with the v-8 family meaning if you had a s-10 with a 4.3 liter you could install a 350 with only the problems od changing the starter,exhaust,and the radiator.My advice would be to sell the S-10 and get 1 already equiped with a 4.3L
