When starter switch released, unit will not stay running Is Kohler like Onan generators, board has to sence ac voltage to stay running?

Would need to know model and serial number to tell you that, older ones do not need ac excitation, newer ones do, low oil pressur, low oil level, and those units with voltage regulators can cause this...thanks and good luck...Scott the rv guy

I have a KOHLER 7CM21 in my rv it will start and run as long as the start switch is held in when it rocks to the run position it dies i diconected the start switch on the dash and replaced the start rocker switch on on the control pannel it does the same thing it will start right up then dies when you release the switch.It has power to the fuel pump and coil in the start position but not in the run, can you help me

I am looking for information about a Generator on a 1976 Ford Mitchell RV. The Generator is a Kohler K32IEP. I have looked all over and found nothing in regards to a manual or information about their specs, could you maybe supply me with what ever information you may have on it. Thanks for you time and effort no matter the outcome!
