Any suggestions on why and how to fix an ice maker that flooded the freezer. refrigerator is Dometic in 2003 Fleetwood Providence and is two door side by side unit. Thanks.
There is an electric water solenoid valve on the back of the refrigerator - light blue in color - The ice maker send a 120 volt current to the valve for a timed period, the valve opens, water flows to the ice maker mold in the freezer, time expires and the current is stopped and the valve closes and the water flow is finished. It would appear that the valve seat is not fully stopping the water. If you removed the discharge line and water continues to dribble from the valve, the valve needs to be replaced. Contact Dometic.
