1988 HOLIDAY RAMBLER INPERIAL Dan 11-5-08
Thank you all so much for the pump problem, I changed the outside pump and she started right up! Now, I put it in gear and she wont budge, forward or back, but you can hear from the engine that its in gear. Would the brakes and rotors from rust cause the coach not move? Or is it more likely the emergency air brake? Also, even if a propane tank is rusty, is it still safe? I'm the one with the 1988 holiday rambler imperial

If the brakes being rusty could be the problem, but if you have air brakes you may have low pressure in your air tank. If the pressure is too low in the air tank, the brakes will lock solid.

A propane tank with some light rust may be safe, but if the rust is significant you need to get the tank hydro tested. Steel will flex, rust won't. Filling and emptying a propane tank causes it to flex and rust in the wrong place will cause a crack or rupture. Hydro testing would determine if the tank was too rusty to use safely.

Hope that helps!
