The '93 460 and 5.7L V8s had a run of bad fuel pressure regulators. Pull the vacuum hose of the regulator and if it has fuel in it, then the regulator is bad.
Other than that, check to make sure the shorting bar by the distributor hasn't been removed, check the condition of your tune-up parts and check for vacuum leaks. '93 shouldn't have a problem with a collapsed cat, but if your fuel pressure regulator is shot, you might have a damaged cat from the fuel system running rich.
Try the easiest thing first! Check/replace the fuel filter that's usually located on the inside of the frame midway somewhere between the engine and the tank. Had the same problem with my 454 on a trip to NM.
