Cell phone in southwest ray grimmer 10-13-08  
Will be traveling the s.w. (az.,nm.) for a few months next year. have heard cells don't work well there. what do you consider the best company to go with??any real bad zones?? thanks

The only place in the country I've ever had a problem with cell coverage is a 40 mile stretch between Kansas and Colorado on I-70. I've used AT&T wireless in NM and AZ as well as MT and ND and SD and I've had no issues.

I don't think you'll have a problem as long as you use a national carrier. AZ has towers all over the place, so I'd be very dissapointed if you couldn't get coverage everywhere except the bottom of the grand canyon.
