1986 Lindy Class "C" dual fuel tanks Dave 7-29-08
Just bought and ran into a problem with filling the forward fuel tank. When trying to fill could only get 6 gallons of gas in the tank and then the gas pump would quit becasue the filler neck was full of gas. Figured that if I drove for a little bit (about 5 miles) that I could get it to go down. No luck. Also curious if the tank is empty will the boost pump in the tank still run?

Need a bit more info.....what chassis is it on? More than likely you don't have a pump in the tank, and if you did, it wouldn't be running when you switch tanks.

A little more info...It is on a Ford F350 chassis. Found that the rear tank pump was not working. Dropped the rear tank and wanted to change the pump and float unit but had a hard time getting the whole unit. Replaced the pump and it is working and am able to get the tanks to read full with the rear float pushed to the full position. Getting ready to put back together....we shall see.
