Re: Dometic Fridge Problem Tom 6-12-08
Dometic propane fridge stops staying at the cold tempature that it is set at to keep food cold. When the tempature outside heats up. The internal tempature goes up to 60+degrees.

gas& electric connections tests good.
vehicle gas lines & connectors check ok for leaks. Vehicle PSI check ok.

Can you suggest any other tests to find the cause to the above problem.

To confirm the cooling unit lets by pass the conrtol of the temp setting. On the back of the refrig at the bottom left remove the main board cover. Unplug the small two wire plug. Put the unit on AC and let it stay this way for atleast 24 hours. Check the food zone temp at the hottest part of the day. If not in a good save temp you have a bad cooling unit. The freezer can freeze with a bad cooling unit. Good Luck David Force www.rvcoolingunit.net

Does anyone know what would cause a Dometic fridge to take a couple of days to cool yet the freezer was cold within a short period of time? The fridge did eventually get cold but not until Monday after turning it on early the previous Saturday.
