No power to the fuse box or ignition in my 78 Pace Arrow Jason 5-30-08
Does anyone have any schematics for a 78 Pace Arrow motor home? I'm looking for some help with the wiring from the batteries to the fuse box and ignition system. It acts like the battery isn't hooked up and there is no power. The batteries are all new. Any suggestions?

Power is supplied to the fuse box through a solenoid from the battery. On my rv this solenoid is mounted on top of the moter. Anyway there is what is called a fusable link to protect the fuse box. This fusable link in my rv is Black. anyway find the solenoid and see if you have 12 Volts to it, and check for voltage on either side of the fusable link. Odds are the fusable link is bad or you have a bad wire in that loop.

Good luck

Would that solenoid be the same as the starter solenoid or is there another solenoid in an rv that you are refering to?

Could be the same. On mine I have one by the engine, another by my battery compartment

Some RV's have more than that too...I have 4 of them on mine. I had the same problem and found it to be the grounding strap under the right front end was disconected. Hence no power to unit. Check that also.
