Duo-Therm thermastat problems Jeff Shaw 5-25-08
Big problems, I think. I have a Duo-Therm 3107612.008. I have read all the forums for stats here and have not seen anything on my mine. It just doesnt keep any kind of a constant temp at all. I am either freezing or hot as hell wishing it would turn back on automaticaly. It wont turn back on till its about 10 degrees hotter than the stat is set on. HELP..what can I do? Can I replace it with a house hold style and get my Ac working again?

Jeff

I red the number 3107612 008 on the inside of thermostat it self,my problem is furnace will not even kick on unless you have it set at 85,it seems to never kick off even with the temp being higher then 85.so i have to lower the temp and then i freeze, the only way it will come back on is if i set the temp back to 85 then the furnace will kick on.

Do you have a wiring diagram for a duo-therm by dometic?
Re: Duo-Therm thermastat problems Andy Haiduck 7-13-08
I have two of the 3107612.008 stats on my recently acquired 1998 Safari. I believe these are analog models. Both stats work OK on AC until the preset temp is reached. At that point they both will short-cycle the compressor - turning it on, then off in a few seconds. Any advice on a replacement? Preferably something that had an adjustment for minimum cycle time.

To follow up on my 7/13 posting: I contacted Dometic and ordered new new thermostats that solved the cycling problem.
