1972 Dodge Sportsman with 360 ci engine John 5-18-08
Thinking of buying first RV as tent camping is getting difficult for 60 year old bones. Know little of RVs but found this selling for $3600. 80k miles, loud and smells of exhaust, runs well, cold starter, furnace pilot won't stay lit, no hot water tank, 8 mi/gallon!. Wondering if anyone knows about the quality of this RV type and seeking comments on manifold replacements or gasket work, mileage, future durability, typical problems that might occur. Anything would be helpful.

Thank you for you comments and for this forum.

Hello John
first off 3600 is way to much,I had a 77 ---360 engine rv---replaced the exhaust a real pain-rear brakes are terible to replace too, also ball joints and control are bushings---oh !!! then it was timing chain and water pump---with furnace acting up and no water heater, sounds like a bad deal to me--
8 mpg will be about right---mine got mostly 7.5---
