On a 1973 pacearrow motorhome how serious is replacing a exhaust manifold and how can I know if the cylinderheads are good, and is it hard to get to put a new manifold on?

Don't know what chassis and what engine is involved?
If it is a Dodge 440, it can probably be done (if it has the middle bolts sunk into counterbores in the manifold, it will require some long allen wrenches). Also note, the bolts go into the water jacket and the coolant should be drained. As for the head, it is more likely the manifold would be warped (these can be resurfaced by a machine shop).
My experience is based on 1979 Pace Arrow quite a while ago.
Would like to know if a honda EG 3500 generator would be big enough to run the RV. Just aquired it a short time ago, The husband pulled it to get it rebuilt and passed away, and the wife doesn't know where he took it to get the repairs done, so.......... Anyones help in this would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
IF YOU HAVE A CHEVROLET 454 UNDER YOUR HOOD NOT TO BAD, REMOVE THE FRONT TIRES FOR GOOD ACESS. GM HAS 3 CORNERED THREADED BOLT WITH A 9/16" BOLT HEAD. YOU MUST REMENBER THAT THESE BOLTS CAN BREAK OFF VERY QUICK BEFORE YOU KNOW IT. TAKE A FEW MINUTES AND LET THE ENGINE RUN, SHUT IT OFF THEN SPRAY PENETRATING OIL ON THE BOLT AND WHERE THE MANIFOLDS MEET THE HEAD, THEN TAKE A HAMMER AND A CENTER PUNCH AND AND TAP THE BOLT IN THE CENTER TO BREAK THE RUST LOOSE. WHEN YOU TRY TO REMOVE THE BOLT LOOSEN TURN CLOCKWISE THEN COUNTER CLOCKWISE, WHEN DOING THIS YOU WILL BREAK THE BOLT LOOSE. WHEN THE BOLT STARTS TURNING FREELY TURN COUNTER CLOCKWISE ALL THE WAY OUT. CLEAN BOTH THE HEAD AND THE MANIFOLD OF OLD GASKET AND RUST. I HAVE HAD GOOD LUCK WITH THE MR.GASKET BRAND. REPLACE THE BOLT IF RUSTED VERY BAD. TORQUE THE BOLT DOWN TO 30 TO 35 FOOT POUNDS. START THE ENGINE AND LET RUN UNITL TEMP REACHS NORMAL RUNNING TEMP THEN RETORQUE. GOOD LUCK
