P0740 tcc code larry torres 5-7-08
Please can some one tell me how to fix this problem with my tcc i rebuild the transmission change the pcm the tcc and still the code p0740 comes out how can i fix that please.
Re: p0740 tcc code Phil Feinstein 5-7-08
TCC is controlled by a solenoid in the transmissions valve body, so a rebuild will not fix the problem. Also, if the rebuild didn't change the torque converter, that could be another source of your problem.

P0740 is Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Malfuction, so there is nothing that indicates the problem is electrical, meaning the problem is most likely mechanical. The solenoid could be working fine, but the valve is sticking, the fluid passages clogged or the torque converter itself has failed.

Hope that helps!
