I have a norcold model n62x or n82x.3 refrigerator that will work on propane but when i switch it to electricity it shows the letter H in the display. I checked for power at the 5 amp fuse and found it blown, replaced it.I checked the voltage at the fuse block to make sure the convertor was working it is putting out 13.7 volts. Don't know where to go from here.
Hi Tony, If it's not cooling on electric, it's more than likely your heating element. It's located in the flue tube, (the vertical sheet metal tube on the right). It's sticking out of the tube with two wires to it. They're 120V. Check for voltage to it. If there's voltage, touch the element very quickly to see if it's hot, or disconnect the two wires from the circuit board that go to it and check for continuity. If none, replace the element. It should pull out by rocking back and forth while pulling straight up. If it's stuck there should be a second tube next to it to put a new one into. Good luck!
