Just got done installing rebuilt 92 a4ld into 88 lx mustang.my car has 2-prong connector for OD and the 92 has a 3-prong,hense no OD,is there a way to fix this with out having to get another trans,

The way to fix it is to determine which wire isn't needed or should be spliced to an existing wire and get a 3 prong pigtail from your local Ford dealer. An EVTM usually costs 20 to 30 bucks and will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about your car's wiring harness. You can order one online from Helminc.com. Hope that helps!
