Unit has stopped freezing in upper and cooling in lower...i.e. gas or electric........What do I need to consider.

First check the chimney on the right of the back outside of the fridge. If it is getting hot the cooling unit is toast. Look for a yellow residue, if it came out of the chimney area and your fridge is affected by the recall Dometic may provide a no charge cooling unit. We recomend replacing the fridge rather than repairing the cooling unit due to cost and warranty considerations in our area. If the chimney is not getting warm/hot you have a control problem.
