1989 460 ford engine loses power jennielee lew 4-4-08
Hello,

My husband and I are new to RVing full time and he is 100% disabled and not a mechanic... I am only out of need to keep forward progress, not by choice. The problem we are having is our motorhome begins to lose power as the engine becomes warm and eventually 2-5 miles from onset I must pull over to let it cool once I do it starts and runs fine for about ten miles or so.It has a near fuel pump and weve changed all of the filters except the one on the carbarater is ceased pretty tight any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. stuck in lodi again

I had a 460 in a E350 ambulance.....had same like issues...was fuel filter....and when removing the filter by the carb. turn it tighter first and then losen...and have the right tool(fuel line wrench).....hope all works out for you, brutabuss
