Oxygen Sensor/1997 454 Chev Larry 4-3-08
I am getting low voltage readings on bank 2 sensors 1 & 2.
I am under the impression this is an indication of a lean fuel mixture both before and after the catlytic converter. What I don't know is how to know if this is bad sensors or something else.
The engine is in my 36' 1997 Dolphin, engine runs strong, starts easy, does not smoke and idles nice.

Look for: Vacume leaks, exsashst leaks any where up stream of the sensors. Pull some plugs from that side and check them for colour. They should be a nice tan. Most repair manuals have a chart to tell you how to read plugs. That will tell you the actual average mixture on that side. Finally it could be you have a wiring or sensor problem. To test densors on the cheap transfer them from side to side. Be prepared to have them break and have to replace them anyway. Good Luck
