I have a horse trailer with living quarters. The water piping used is PEX and the connections are Sea Tech. I have been having trouble with major leaking from the elbows and faucet connections. The conversion company replaced one of the connections last year and everything worked fine till I dewinterized the trailer. Now I have 2 more leaks, always from the hot water pipe. These pipes were filled with RV antifreeze. IS there a better way to connect PEX or could I use flexible washer hoses and brass fittings? I cannot risk flooding when I am not in my trailer!

Hi Zita, Sorry to hear about your plumbing problems. I just saw Sea Tech fittings advertised the other day, glad I saw your thread before trying them. There's another style fitting that doesn't require special tools, it's Flair-it fittings. I have had very good luck with these and they will work with PEX and the old Qest (gray or black) plastic pipe. They are available at most hardware or RV stores. Or use the brass crimp fittings. These are probably the most reliable, but you need a crimping tool with them. See Flair-it.com it should answer all your ?'s Good luck!
