Hydro Flame Furnace Keith 3-17-08
I have a Hydro Flame in my 99 Shasta - It had never been used until recently -I am having trouble with it igniting on a regular basis. It sometimes will light and other times (more frequently) you can just here the clicking and it doesn't light. Fan blows, etc. When it works it works great.
Re: Hydro Flame Furnace Keith 3-18-08
Hi Keith, It's hard to troubleshoot from here... but if this unit hasn't been used, I'd say you may have an obstruction in the burner, such as a mud dauber, wasp or some type insect nest. Try these steps to remove the burner assembly. Turn off propane, remove the exhaust tube, take the propane line loose, take the igniter wire(red)loose and one quick disconnect wire (both on propane line side), remove 3 - 4 screws from rear that hold the burner in and one on the round edge, pull out the burner. If it's sparking (clicking) the PC board should be ok. Hope this helps and good luck!
Re: Hydro Flame Furnace Wesley 5-22-08
I have just bought a used camper and have no manual as to how to use or ignite this furnace. Could you help me as to how I go about getting the manual. I have had other campers in the past and have had to problems with the furnace igniting. There is no sound to let me know if the unit is turned on, etc.
