Washer/dryer combo vs washer/dryer Cheryl 2-6-07
We are just starting out RVing and would like some feed back on the Washer/Dryer combo unit and the stack Washer/ Dryer. Which works better? Please give me any advice you have about this subject. Thanks

I have a Splendide washer/dryer combo in my 2006 Jayco Designer...LOVE BOTH...had a little problem with the unit not drying...called Splendide...very courteous...walked me through some diagnosis on the phone...the problem was literally corrected in minutes...I have just begun using the Splendide washing powder along with a liquid softener...follow the directions and the unit should provide excellent service...

If you're only using it part-time, the Splendide may be satisfactory, but for fulltiming, don't even think about it. When ordering the rig, my wife was reluctant to take up extra space for the twin units, but now every time we come into a campground she can just throw the laundry in and off we go! If she had to make it to the laundrymat, it would take up hours of our time together, not to mention the safety aspect of sitting alone at the place or the weather conditions, etc. No, these separate units are the only way to go!

We have been full timers for 7 years, while still working and have a Splendide washer/dryer combo and love it. We do smaller loads, but it works great. It uses very little water and electricity. Be sure to adjust your detergent(Fuller Brush concentrated liguid is wonderful and all natural). You don't have to go to the laundromat, so it saves you money, time, space and it's not as heavy as full washer/dryers. Be sure and get the vented model and put a vent in the wall if you don't have one already, so the dryer steam escapes outside. ENJOY!
