|Re: Unitrol RV porpane water heater by Jack the Grinder|
|The leak of gas is noticable by the order. I recommend removing the top red adjustor, which has the pilot and on dial. unscrew the three screws and remove the cone like unit.
inspect and clean it. Make sure there exist no deep scratches or ridge marks.
If everything is ok. use grear grease to coat the unit and replace it.
After that it should not leak. But if it continues to leak, remove the front plat. It has four flat screws and replace the gasket. The gasket is most definitely old and torn. That should stop the remaining leak.
If you continue to experience some leak, I recommend applying compound or gas tape (yellow) to the inlet screw and tighen all screws. Good luck.
