|Re: 2003 chevy tracker flat towing by JIM MAGOWAN|
|We are preparig to flat tow our 2003 4wd, auto trans, Tracker behind our motorhome. The instructions say to keep speed max to 55 and run 1 minute every 200 miles to circulate hte transfer case oil.
I am curious about other peoples experience. I have spoken to people toeing Trackers who said they towed them above 55 with no problems and some who did not always run them every 200 miles.
I am interested in what others have experienced, problems etc., with Trackers (or Geos). particularly the 2003 or so models.
I would expect some margin in hte published recommendations; for example occasionally going over 55 on a hill or going farther than 200 miles when turnouts were not spaced conveniently.
