Re: 2003 chevy tracker flat towing by JIM MAGOWAN
Post New Message We are preparig to flat tow our 2003 4wd, auto trans, Tracker behind our motorhome. The instructions say to keep speed max to 55 and run 1 minute every 200 miles to circulate hte transfer case oil.

I am curious about other peoples experience. I have spoken to people toeing Trackers who said they towed them above 55 with no problems and some who did not always run them every 200 miles.

I am interested in what others have experienced, problems etc., with Trackers (or Geos). particularly the 2003 or so models.

I would expect some margin in hte published recommendations; for example occasionally going over 55 on a hill or going farther than 200 miles when turnouts were not spaced conveniently.
