Unitrol Gas Valve Jim 6-10-09  
I have a 1978 Dodge Motorhome. I lit the hot water heater and everything worked fine until a leak near the top valve caused the plastic knobs to catch on fire.
It is a Unitrol gas valve and I cannot find any numbers on it. Where are the serial numbers located? Also, can these be rebuilt or do I need to buy a replacement valve? Are these valves readily available? If so where?
Sorry for so many questions but I am on a time schedule with this project and need help now.
