I have looked everywhere for a model# on the water heater, I'm guessing it just must be worn away. There is no gas coming out of the tube, given what I've read online I'm assuming my problem might be this control valve. How can I find out which water heater I have to get a replacement part or is there anyway to fix the current one that's there? I have a 1979 Apache Roamer Pop-Up. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated
Your unitrol gas valve is between 129.00 and 160.00 i carry those in stock just need a little more info, call me and i'll make sure you are going in the right direction or call me at 1800-345-1363
I can't figure out how to re lite the pilot. the unit has some directions, but it says press the red button and lite the pilot.... HOW? i can't see inside and don't know where to lite it
I have a robertshaw unitrol gas valve that's pilot light keeps going out. i noticed the last time i relighted it, that i didn't need to hold down the pilot light button before it ignited. so, when the light goes out, there is the odor of gas. evidently, if the pilot light valve is always open, then the main flame pulls the gas away from the pilot line and it goes out. does this seem like a possibility to you?
i might add that robertshaw had a recall on this very model, r110rtsp, but was not included in the recall.
I have a Ruudglas-Pacemaker hot water heater and the control valve is not telling the burner to turn off. Even with it set to the vacation setting the water gets so hot that it blows out the relief valve. I think I need to replace the control valve. If so where can I find the exact replacement of a Unitrol R110RTSP control valve? does anyone else have an idea what else could be wrong?
